Just about everyone knows that the fast-growing field of the cinema only entertains us but its glittering domain remains integral for playing enough politics. But I don’t think most people realise just how important this specific point holds its practicality in the vast realm of politicians’ prudent play.
Could the Bollywood be possibly shifted from its original place? With the familiarity of the film industry in Maharashtra, Mumbai also attained the charm of the cultural city and this very fact was even stressed by the State CM Uddhav Thackeray lately. But now an argument of setting up another film city in UP’s Noida has started. It is, however, a distant dream. The idea has definitely propped up. The politicians are even talking about it. It can’t be altogether rejected if it happens to be pinpointed as a vital issue in the next assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh. Raju Srivastava, president of Film Vikas Parishad, indicated different spectacular locations in the big state.
The film artistes used to boost the splendour of dome of democracy by getting elected in both the houses of the legislative assemblies. However, the film making, the cinema and the facilities to the artistes will remain on the agenda.
After all, agenda-setting is the most important method to win the voters’ heart, as is pointed out during the television debate. The BJP supporters pointed out that Tejashwi Yadav set the agenda by saying 10 lakh jobs (government service) to the youth in Bihar and the result is tilting towards his political party. Therefore, the side issue of bringing a film industry in UP bypassing other industries seems to be a part of that agenda that was discussed by the saffron activist on a TV channel.
