Will The Upcoming Government Fulfill The Expectations Of The People Of Bihar?

The election campaign in Bihar is at its pinnacle but what people are unable to see is that the political discourse has touched its lowest wisdom.

Bihar Assembly Elections are in the pipeline and have become centre of attention for us, as it is time to take the right decision on right time. The election has been divided into 3 phases for a total of 243 seats. The first phase for 71 seats was on October 28; the second for 94 seats was on November 3 and the third for the remaining 78 seats will be on November 7, 2020. The results will be announced on 10 November 2020.

This time, people are raising their voice regarding these issues: The education system, public health, farmer suicides, providing toilets, clean drinking water. People of Bihar are conscious this time and there are numerous issues where the Mahagathbandhan will have to answer for the governance of the past 25 years of their rule. The party needs the support of the broad spectrum of voters.

We need a leader who is a well-wisher of the people and works like the Delhi CM Arwind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia do. Their sincere efforts changed the education system and other facilities for the citizens tremendously. They are working in the right direction with accurate planning despite various challenges such as lack of central government’s support.

The six most vulnerable issues that must be handled and cured by the forthcoming government  are:

Education

The education system is sluggish and there is a lack of systematic planning. Education is the pillar of strength in any developed society. We need a well-planned policy and education structure to promote education to each section of the society. Therefore, the government must work in this direction. Well-organized and well-planned education structure must be implemented by the policymakers.

Inflation

Price rises are very common issues almost in all the state of India not only in Bihar. The irony is that we have a low GDP and, on the other hand, inflation is standing like a giant scaring the crowd.

Unemployment

It is one of the major issues in Bihar which must be resolved by the upcoming government. People are finding themselves in chaotic situations where they don’t have sufficient amount to fulfil their basic needs. Youngsters are affected by unemployment and have only one option- to go in other states to find a job which is quite difficult. Every state has its domicile law. The Bihar government must implement domicile laws to enhance job opportunities.

Generating Electricity

Electricity is very costly and there is no source to generate electricity. Bihar also buys electricity from other states which costs a lot for the Bihar government. They are spending a huge amount on buying electricity from other states. Policymakers need to give attention to the ways of generating electricity to create balance the expenses.

Agriculture

Bihar is the state which is rich with river and fertile land and can grow numerous crops, vegetables, and fruits. These factors must be taken seriously by policymakers to expand the agricultural spectrum. Pickle making, jams and other small scale industries can also be grown to create female employments.

Farmers’ Suicide

Farmers dying by suicide is one of the foremost concerns which must be resolute by the lawmakers. A commission must be established by the government for the farmers and labourers which will work for resolving their issues.

Other issues that need government’s attention are girls marriage, education, clean drinking water supply, sports infrastructure and the like. The situation is alarming in several sectors which demands remedial measures.

To sum up, I would like to say that all these issues that I mentioned earlier need attention and implementaion as well to make the Bihar empowered and prosperous.
