Delhi Winter And Momos: When I Finally Met My Friends After The Lockdown!

I would like to express my feelings about the moment I met my friends after nine months due to lockdown. Yesterday morning, I planned a small get together in the evening with my friends Abhishek, Mobin, Punit, and Shivansh. Everybody agreed with me and we were all ready to meet in the evening. We decided on Dwarka Mor as our meeting point, but suddenly Mobin changed the meeting point because he wanted to meet with us at a peaceful place.

He suggested a new place which was Dwarka Sector – 13 Community park and actually which is a very peaceful place and we all agreed with his suggestion. We reached there at the decided time, that is around 5 o’clock.

In all this excitement, I reached the park in the evening before the decided time. After a few minutes, Mobin reached there too and we met after so long. Mobin and I started to discuss our lockdown experience and also asked each other about some of our plans. At that time, Mobin and I were eating some nuts which he had brought from his home and we were also waiting for Abhishek and Shivansh.

After some time, Abhishek and Shivansh came together in the park and we met them. We were enjoying having nuts together. We called Punit and told him to come to the park as soon as possible. As we were waiting for Punit, Abhishek got hungry as he had come to the park without having his lunch. So, we went to the momos stall outside the park and ordered one plate of chicken momos with Schezwan sauce and creamy mayonnaise. We then enjoyed those hot and spicy momos in the cold winter breeze.

After a few minutes, when we had just decided to order another plate, Mobin exclaimed that he knew a very famous stall especially for chicken momos. So, we met with Punit on the way and we reached Sector-10 market on our bikes.

After we reached the Sector-10 market, we went to ‘the hot taste’ shop and ordered two plate chicken momos. The smell of tandoori momos made our mouth water and we were eagerly waiting for our order. Finally, when the momos came to our table and we took our first bite with that hot and spicy Schezwan sauce and creamy mayonnaise, we felt like we were in another world. Delhi’s winters and hot spicy moms are out stressbusters and that moment was extremely memorable for us.

After eating momos, we went to drink a cup of tea because that’s what we had actually planned. Our meeting would have been incomplete without enjoying a hot cup of tea over some gossip and jokes.

While returning we saw the Chicken Shawarma stall. I had not eaten it yet and so, I told my friends to contribute money and bought two rolls of Chicken Shawarma with it. We contributed Rs 120 for buying two Shawarma rolls. When we tasted that roll with pudina sauce, we knew it was the final and delicious touch to the party we needed. It was awesome! After eating Shawarma, we returned home whilst enjoying the cold breeze on our bikes!
