Neither The Uprisings Nor The Opposition Can Deter Modi’s Ideology Of Supremacy

modi

A recap at some of the recent policy legislations by the Centre is a case in point of acknowledging the supremacy of ideology in the scheme of actions and affairs. A government with a majestic mandate deserves to conduct its political opinions, objectives and views in a likewise manner and not otherwise. PM Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a leaf out of history by reacting and responding to articulate the aspirations of the people it seeks to represent by doing whatever it can to the best of their ability.

Development has become the buzzword for channelling the prospects of consumerism and culture, defining the formation of BJPs Hindutva. Modi has been quick to pick up this for sanctioning his executive fiats, merely bypassing the sovereignty of every organ of governance and decision making.

Acknowledgements and appreciations routinely pouring in, given the Prime Minister’s penchant for rhetoric and populism, are essential in establishing a connect with his constituents; no matter how raw or rustic, with a sharp edge to please, persuade and convince a vast majority of the electorate.

Farmers protest.

Thus, no uprising or resistance can affect Modi, as we can see during the farm agitations or previously during the repeal of Article 370, or CAA-NRC. Modi knows how to respond and react as for his years in the Sangh, apart from being Gujarat’s CM for 15 years. I believe it also somewhere makes him immune to being accountable to anyone by being answerable to none.

A redundant opposition being clueless comes nowhere in closing the gap with Modi regarding the supremacy of ideology and no accountability.
