Emboldened by electoral successes in different polls, Owaisi’s political ambitions are rising up. He devises ways to enter into the fray in all the states where he sees a benefit for his quite a famous party now. Whatever his rivals say of him, he cares a fig and moves on to declare his political intentions. He was lately chided for being a substantial divider in anti-BJP votes but his declaration to go to Rajasthan for electoral battle does not wane by any criticism.

Analysts emphatically say that Owaisi’s tweet hints that he is keeping an eagle eye on Rajasthan politics and assessing his chances, much to Congress party’s distress. Will it not seem practically so?

The rumour in political groups is that Owaisi is exploring options to expand the party’s base in Rajasthan where Muslims constitute 10% of the population. This could cause concern in Congress ranks over a possible realignment of the Muslim vote which it had taken for granted till presently.

Anger is now building up among Muslims against the Congress government over a number of issues like the demand for a Muslim mayor candidate, inadequate representation of the Muslim leaders in the cabinet and also in the political appointments.

“Congress will definitely face a threat if AIMIM enters the electoral fray. Of the 200 assembly seats, there are 40-45 seats where Muslims are in good strength. Congress should not take Muslims for granted, said Mohammed Sharif, member of State Congress Committee.

(Owaisi, except for 40 Muslim seats, wants to take some Adivasi seats as well. As of now, everyone is waiting for Owaisi and BTP’s next step. But this is assured that in the coming time, Rajasthan will have more competitors than just the usual two.)
