Going out during this pandemic is a huge risk, yet the farmers are protesting in Delhi and other parts of Haryana. Why are they protesting at this time, exposing themselves and making themselves vulnerable to this dangerous disease? This is because of the bill passed by the government which we would not be talking about in this article.
The main thing to be discussed is that these farmers are suffering only and only because of politics, and the media is showing what they are doing rather than showing what is happening to them. For example, they were having pizzas and getting foot massages during the protest and it became a point of interest for the media.
The media should be showing how and under which conditions they are protesting to get their rights but they are just changing the whole image of the protest by discussing these actions during the protest.
You know something is really wrong with the media when farmers consuming poison was never a concern but farmers eating pizza is news.
Farmers crying over destroyed crops was never a concern but farmers doing the bhangra is a piece of news.
Farmers working bare-foot on the field for hours was never a concern but farmers getting a foot-massage is news.
Farmers feeding the nation irrespective of religion was never a concern but all religions coming together for farmers is news.
And the last but the best, farmers protesting in Punjab for two months was never a concern but farmers reaching Delhi is news.
Why is the media hiding the reality?
Why don’t they show the pain and problems of the farmers?
