“It Is Now Or Never”: Why I Support The Farmers’ Protest

There is still a standoff between farmers and the Government of India. Support is pouring in from across the world for the farmers, with emotional appeal running high. There have been six meetings between farmers and central union ministers of the country, but we find no result came out from those meetings.

We Need To Make Our Farmers More Self Reliant

Over the years, the BJP government perfected the art of projecting national and democratic protest as anti-national, but it seems that they failed to do so. Farmers are regularly saying that these laws will affect their livelihood and will exploit the agriculture sector of the country. More than 50% of the people of India are dependent on agriculture.

The government should make policy and laws which favor farmers and farming. We should make our farmers more self-reliant and economically strong only then can we move ahead on the path of development. The government came with laws or amendments which don’t increase the wealth of the farmers but only increase the wealth of some big co-operate houses.

Farmers are the real heroes of this country who are filled with integrity and dedication towards their motherland. Representational image.

Today they are calling farmers anti-national and terrorists. Tomorrow, they can call you out for your legal and democratic demands. Farmer’s children serve at the border of the country and save us. How can anyone call them a terrorist or anti-national?  It’s a matter of shame for all the country’s people that we do not respect our farmers and people part of the defence forces.

This Protest Is Not Only For Farmers But Also For The Whole Country

This protest is not only for farmers but also for the people of the whole country. We will get affected by these laws in some means like there will be an increase in the price of food-related products because there is no stock limit on the essential food items, which leads to the rise of black marketing. Only several people can control the demand and supply chain of the country, which directly affects the people of the lower and middle class.

The government should make changes to its management level because there is a high level of corruption in their food department. Instead of making reforms in the current system, they are trying to implement the new system which exploits farmers.

It is now or never, a do or die scenario. I stand with our farmers who provide us with food and contribute to the development of the country. They are the real heroes of this country who are filled with integrity and dedication towards their motherland.
