Is Justin Trudeau Wrong In Speaking On The Farmers’ Protests In India?

Justin Trudeau, Canada’s Prime Minister, chose to speak on the farmers’ agitation in India. But it has begun concerning the power elites in New Delhi. Why did he choose to interfere in the internal policy matters of our country when he should have desisted at the first instance? This part has thoroughly made the supporters of the ruling establishment annoyed and anxious. It is being viewed as a plot by the hardliners within the Sikh community to advance their interests bringing disrepute to the pride and prestige of India abroad.

How justified are the pro-establishment supporters in associating this peaceful agitation with Khalistan? I want to ask this straight: Are only farmers in Punjab going to pay for this draconian legislation? Won’t it hinder and impact farmers of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan? Why this stubbornness of the BJP led NDA government is backing out, scuttling the prospects for an early resolution after the breakdown of talks between the farmers’ representative and the government.

No, Trudeau made an error on his part,” said a government representative declining to comment on the mediation efforts taken by the government to break the impasse with the farmers. But, Trudeau spoilt the plans and proposals with his observations on the farm agitation as this government would want us to believe and neutralize our queries if any, thereby bellying false hopes.
