Don’t Be A ‘Bro’, Select The Right Guide On Your Journey Towards Good Health

Although desirable, being buff is most certainly not an endorsement of a physical trainers depth of knowledge as far as the science of getting fit and fabulous is concerned. At a personal level, I’ve encountered numerous wannabees taken for a ride by these so-called genetically gifted freelance “professional trainers” with an “impressive” list of clientele that use their physique to ensnare the gullible into experimenting with their bodies, often to horrendous effect.

Alien to even the fundamentals that govern human physiology’s functioning, these smart alecs come with claims of transformation that need to be taken not just with a pinch but a whole fistful of salt. Self-proclaimed masters of the so-called “cycle”, popular amidst bodybuilding circles, rubbish what the real experts in the field have to say on the very real side effects that entail once hooked on the vicious cycle of anabolic steroids.

Consult a doctor and get a thorough medical prognosis before embarking on a journey towards good health.

Adept at throwing unfounded and chic concepts at unsuspecting prospects, their sole intent of making a fast buck out of some desperate fool obsessed with looking like Adonis lies barely hidden. These are my suggestions to any and everybody wanting not just to look, but more importantly, feel fit and fine:

  1. Deep dive into the credentials of the trainer before hiring one.
  2. Do not depend solely on word of mouth. You would be surprised to know how little many know about what they say.
  3. Do some serious research. And yes, Youtube helps. It is a far better repository of information than what passes off as authentic in body sculpting parlance. There is, after all, a reason why it is known as “Bro Science”.
  4. Consult a doctor and get a thorough medical prognosis before embarking on a journey towards good health, especially if you are already suffering from any chronic ailment.
  5. It would help to keep reminding yourself that what is at stake is far too invaluable to be taken for granted.
  6. Use plain common sense; if the claims being made are seemingly too good to be true, then in all probability they are.

I wish you the very best of health, vigour and vitality for the remainder of your years.
