Opinion: BJP IT Cell Fuels Fake News And Propaganda

BJP IT cell is one of the best IT cells a political party can ever have. They know how to target their voters and Indian Youths, through social media platform using fake propaganda and news.

Representational image.

The BJP IT cell has made its presence all over the internet and their messages are reaching directly to the internet users. Their major focus is on the youth of India who are very much active on the internet especially on social media. But that’s what every IT cells of a political party do right?

Yes, but the BJP IT cell uses a different strategy to convince the youth in their favour. Their way to communicate with young minds is what we like the most. They use memes, trolls, sarcasm write-ups to destroy their opponents on the internet. The youth of this country feels connected to it and enjoy such humour very much. Political memes and jokes are highly rated. This is how “Pappu” memes got worldwide popularity. Memers see him as a meme material and all credits go to the BJP IT cell.

A few years ago, we saw Rahul Gandhi’s “Aloo Dalo and Sona Nikalo” video which affected his political career a lot during the Lok Sabha election and his party was defeated by the BJP very badly. That edited video was firstly tweeted by BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya at the time it went viral. This was their strategy to defeat their opponent.

Many social media meme pages and parody satire accounts are funded by this cell. These meme pages will ensure that BJP’s message will be spread in a form of a meme or humour which is well appreciated by the audience. Mr Modi is widely respected in the meme community for his great sense of humour. Why? Because of the IT cell, I have reasons to believe.
