While The UK PM Johnson Faces Brexit, Prince Harry Grapples With Megxit Amid Covid

Indications are that things were going the way they were supposed to. Amid this, there has been a firm reaction of the UK in the background of the deadly fear after a rapid spread of a fresh strain of Covid-19 virus in the country. It seems their eyes watch every outcome impulsively. There’s so much in those vibrant eyes. The sting in their eyes is mixed with so much life and mystery.

If Boris Johnson as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is toiled to run the democracy, Prince Harry wants to fly as a free bird. In a nutshell, hierarchy has no place before adversity and both reflect on the grim situation of the country post Brexit. The UK broke from the European Union’s regulatory orbit on January 1, 2019, casting off nearly half a century inside the bloc. While it will formally leave in January 2020, for 11 months, the country had been in a transition period, operating under the rules of the EU, as negotiators settled on the terms of the two sides’ future commercial relations.

The split has now been finalised, setting in motion what analysts say will be the biggest overnight change in modern commercial relations. A trade agreement between the two sides, far from closing the book on the UK’s tumultuous relationship with the rest of Europe, will open a new chapter, starting with an avalanche of trading obstacles in January this fresh year, writes The New York Times.

There goes the news of Prince Harry not returning to the UK for a review meet of the Megxit and Johnson cancelling his trip to India owing to the exceptional situation back in his home country. It is happening on a simultaneous juncture. Both figures have been understanding the delicate situation prevailing, owing to the rapid spread of a fresh strain of Covid-19 virus in that part of the globe.

Johnson is widely expected to visit India before June 2021. Many news reports suggest that Johnson’s visit will now happen in March this year, assuming that the pandemic will be brought under control in the island.

Prince Harry has scrapped the arranged face-to-face meeting with Queen Elizabeth II for a 12-month review of Megxit, it’s been claimed. It will be apt to say that Megxit is a slang term for the decision of couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to step back from their senior roles in the British royal family.

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals last year, it was on the condition that Harry would meet his grandma at a later date to discuss how the arrangement has been working. A 12-month review was due for March 31 this year.
