What We Should Learn From Diljit-Kangana’s Twitter Argument

These days, having social media platforms has actually reduced the gap. Today, there are so many people who actually run their life through these mediums. And hence, that’s how a buzz was created due to one of the trolling arguments between Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut. I opine that we are at a very crucial juncture as far as the fabric of our country is concerned.

Especially For Someone Who Has A Huge Following, Kangana Ranaut Should Fact Check Before Posting Anything

The farmers are protesting amid a pandemic. The last thing we would want would be celebs like Kangana Ranaut, disgracing the wider attention/reach with hatred and misinformation against anyone/ anything without any good reason. I genuinely feel that the trolls must learn from Dilijit Dosanjh the art of arguing gracefully.

The same thing happened when she openly slammed Aamir Khan, questioning him on making his kids follow only Islam, getting influenced over a fake video. Celebrities in India are major influencers owing to the fact that Bollywood plays a huge role in making people think and believe emotionally in wider aspects.

And hence the quote “Huge post, comes with huge responsibility” works here too. Before giving an opinion one must check what exactly has happened, that too for those who have a huge following like Kangana Ranaut.  And later on, deleting the same, wouldn’t actually undo the impact it has created on masses.

We Should Form Our Own Opinions And Not Get Blindly Swayed By What Celebrities Say

Even young generations at a certain point in time see them as role models. Hence if the role models themselves would rant without checking the facts and then act obdurately, think about the level of impact it will have on the younger generation.

On one side, we have celebs like Kangana Ranaut who simply rant on Twitter thus misleading a huge audience that she has and thereafter, blindly passing baseless personal comments on other people of the industry. And on the other hand, we have Diljit Dosanjh who stuck to the facts and gave a reality check in spite of being afraid about his career span in the industry.

Hence my suggestion would be that we as commoners hold the responsibility of thinking rationally before supporting anyone. Like in this case, people bashed Diljit over his behaviour even when he never went off-limits. Also, we should be responsible enough to not get influenced by personalities like Kangana who have the tendency to post false tweets and then delete them thus maintaining her obduracy.
