Punctuating a performance of star cast in a web program may not be an easy option for many of us.
How would you rake and rank individual role performance and presentation given the fact that every artist is supreme and sovereign for his actions, abilities and capabilities? Tandav has Dimple Kapadia convincingly chipping in the role of a homemaker as for a Saif Ali Khan acknowledging a grey character. Why do we vaguely have our own sets of generalisations and comparisons for actors soaking themselves to their strengths?
Aren’t we familiar with this fact given our penchant for content and climax in the narration of the script and storyline?
Tandav chose to portray how Politics continues to tremendously alters us for what and who we are, where do we see ourselves, what opinion do we hold of ourselves, why do we seek to demand, why we are anxious at times, why our idea of morality runs contrary as envisioned by our leaders and rulers.
It is a powerpoint of our attributes, attitude and approaches integrally defining us as people interfering a said commentary on the consummation of our relationships owing to our lust for privileges of position and power manipulated to our advantage and benefit.
A careful analysis of the drama makes us realise how vulnerable we have become emotionally, mentally and physically only to be dared, stared and looked upon. Finding ourselves in a state of despair and desparation where nothing looks suitable for us. Don’t we know life is too short and we have to be wise and conscious for the moments we choose to denote for ourselves?
Politics is a great task but not at the cost of contesting my affection for things I hold dear to my heart. No matter come what may.
