Outright sabotage and provocations by the UP police, the RSS/BJP sevaks and their various organisations! Even after the SC had agreed to peaceful protests by the farmers, yet, it is being violently carried out by the RSS/BJP fascist government at the country level. Preparation is on to use force (in form of violence) on the protestors.
And for what? To let the farmers (who are poor and marginalised) be plundered by the capitalists and financiers, also including those from other countries.
The farmer-protestors and their leaders are firm on their resolve to continue their protests, despite some ugly scene during the tractor rally on January 26, 2021, which, by all means, was created by the Delhi Police and the BJP-planted saboteurs.
On the other hand, we must reiterate that the crowd, even if consisting of tens of millions of people, cannot and will not be able to carry out a revolutionary change on its own — be it for the farmers, workers, oppressed communities or their united front of any kind. This is universal fact, which we have seen globally in the last few years.
The change, if at all, will be reformist in nature, some temporary retreat by the bourgeois class. This “gain” is reversible, as we have seen, like what has been happening to the working class in India and other parts of the world since the 1990s.
For a revolution, we need a revolutionary party, which can educate the masses, prepare and unite them, and lead them (the proletarian class and allies) towards a desired change for the revolution.
