Relishing the wonders of nature in the village – it’s like a trip where we can explore more. As Delhites, we explore villages with different perspectives, like we try to look for peaceful and ravishing scenery, etc. Living amidst nature’s gifts can make us delighted, but what would be your answer if I ask, are these things enough to be satisfied?
Love, interdependence, innocentness, warm-hearted and caring nature are the essence of rural lives. All these things I feel and relish at my grandparent’s place (village). But still, all these things are not enough to be satisfied. We are living in the year 2021 and we feel we need thousands of requirements to survive.
Healthy food, Education, Employability, Togetherness, and Unity – all these things make any society wonderful in a realistic manner. But in absence of these things, many problems can be seen in our society and many Indian villages are suffering from these issues.
At my village, I found a lack of kindness towards local animals, a lack of love and respect towards old parents. The village’s development responsibility is majorly on the Head of the village (Gram Pradhan ), but because of alcoholic people, corrupt leaders take charge to develop.
Fixing votes by distributing wine and other addictive things in public, is very common in many states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, etc. Schools are available, colleges are available, but education is still far from the children.
There is an urgent need to get Social Work organizations, NGOs, N.S.S, NKYS, etc. in these kinds of villages too, to run awareness programs. As a student or an observer, I felt the need to write and share this with you.
And if you have any suggestions, opinions, and solutions related to this problem, please write to me.
