How Will Citizens Safeguard Their Constitutional Principles If The Fourth Estate Is Corrupted?

media

Don’t we know how media creates and conducts its purpose and propaganda on national awareness and consciousness issues? It’s no more about the open debate, dialogue and dissent. Forget about accountability and transparency; rather, it’s all about managing and maintaining a lead over competitors and rivals in reporting and covering fictions minus facts. Sensibility is at stake for the sound in the newsroom where the anchor willingly articulates our consent for content building and basing.

How many more Arnab Goswami’s will it take to prove.

I am reminded of how the mainstream media displayed those opposing CAA and NRC in poor light, beginning from Yogendra Yadav to Ramachandra Guha, flagging doubts over their nationalistic credentials. Drawing flak for its unfair reporting of those opposing the revocation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August, 2019.

The Supreme Court’s judgement on the Ram Temple was acknowledged hugely by media broadcasters and corporations. Choosing to side with the party in power by becoming it’s rewarding representative always present and participating in validating its stance and stand on key policy legislations, boldly braving criticisms. How will citizens secure and safeguard their constitutional principles and objectives if for their fourth estate which has been thoroughly corroded and corrupted by a few tiny and mighty?

How many more Arnab Goswami’s will it take to prove or a Ravish Kumar to place the merits of the fact on record humbly. Introspection has to be made as a lot of delays have already happened.
