Has RJD’s Shyam Rajak’s Statement Caused An Embarrassment To The JDU-BJP Coalition?

RJD leader Shyam Rajak’s statement of being in touch with 17 disgruntled JDU MLAs has caused an embarrassment to the JDU-BJP coalition in Bihar. Recently, Ram Chandra Pradhan Singh was appointed as the JDUs National President, especially in the backdrop of BJPs efforts at poaching six of seven JDU MLAs in Arunachal Pradesh, bringing Nitish babu on the backfoot with a loss of political face, capital and constituency.

Recently, Vashisht Narayan Singh, senior JDU leader, termed BJPs move in Arunachal Pradesh as one of backstabbing the faith and belief of JDU-BJP’s long-held alliance of 15 years. Privately, JDU leaders and workers argue that the BJP though will continue to endorse Nitish’s iconic leadership, guaranteeing Bihar’s prosperity, progress and pride. But from behind, it will press for bulldosing and weakening the JDU party organisation and structure.

RJD leader Shyam Rajak

In my opinion, Nitish should be able to read the writing on the wall by giving up on his ignorance and arrogance by hastily cobbling up with the BJP as he is going to get no better from this deal, come what may. Whatever might be coercing and compelling him in his moment to commit himself to his stance and stand has arrived. No matter what senior RJD leaders maintain on Nitish babu, it is for the latter to take a call on his role, rank and responsibility.

They might want to rescue themselves from getting detracted and dragged from the statements of their opponents who might want to exercise a shot at power. Have you forgotten your treatment to Lalu’s RJD in 2017? May be, with the passage of time, it might have got blurred from your imagination.

Am I right, Nitish babu?
