India Australia Test Series Has Set Ashwin’s Captaincy For A Tough Challenge

Team India should have taken a leaf out of their performance in Melbourne. But on closer scrutiny, you’ll will find that they were clueless and confused given their show of strength in Sydney. How can you be so casual and careless with your presentation and performance and not fire and fight back when imitated and provoked?

I believe Rahane has a lot to worry about given his task of handling the test captaincy, but at the same time, I do not doubt his capacity, caliber, and courage. Rather, instead of focusing on balancing the bowling unit, he should also transition when it comes to bettering our batting line-up.

Honestly, if it were to happen, then India will profit and prosper, inching a milestone closer under the overseas conditions and circumstances. Pujara, Gill, Rohit Sharma, etc., should be given privilege over the top, with Pant and Jadeja acknowledging their contributions in the middle order.

Ajinkya Rahane, with all his humility, can definitely bring about a difference by involving team management and support staff in facilitating and honouring this commitment.

Otherwise, Team India will be left quite short from becoming world-class champions of cricket. Australia would always end up stealing the occasion and opportunity as for the letter and spirit of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Don’t we know that they got some exceptional world-class players and potentials as for our desire to contend with an encouraging episodic affair with cricket? However, a miracle can save our grace in Sydney, given the return of Aussies in the game. Will Brisbane be any different ? Well, I leave it to Rahane and company to take a call.
