Trump rioters break into US capitol

When the lawmakers took on their electoral duties Wednesday 6th January, the Trump rioters smashed the doors and broke glasses bursted through the US Capitol building hoping to obstruct the Biden-Harris victory approval in the US elections, which was interrupted for nearly seven hours.

DC police chief Contee said the day ended with the four casualties, two women, one of them being shot by the US capitol police and two men, all three died due to medical emergencies.

Total 52 arrests were made in violation of Mayor Muriel Browser’s 6pm curfew, with several others arrested for carrying unlicensed arms, and 14 metropolitan officers were injured.

After the same incident we see Trump tweeting and asking the rioters to “stay peaceful” in addition to a recorded video saying return back to their respective homes and advocating for law and order while referring to the “so called fraudulent election” which wronged them.

While Trump has spent weeks falsely questioning the integrity of the election and  filed several lawsuits to overturn the election results, his famous tweet “STOP THE COUNT” perhaps turned into a world famous content to support humour, he miserably failed to bring in any evidence supporting the same acquisition.

Mr Trump’s favourite toy has perhaps now been taken away, Twitter locking his account for twelve hours.

Mayor Muriel extended the public emergency by 15 days saying “today may be a dark day for our democracy, but there is hope and change coming”.

Earlier in November Biden won the US presidential elections with 284 out of 538 electoral votes, final update on 17th December was 306 out of 538 electoral votes, his alongside mate Kamala Harris will become the first female US Vice-President.
