Union Minister of Agriculture Shri Narendra Singh Tomar has signaled a drastic shift by announcing to hold back the contentious farm bill for another eighteen months along with proposing a Joint Parliamentary Committee discussing changes to this bill. But, why the intent to repeal the laws is missing from the government’s table along with conducting and performing opinions in a likewise manner?
The farmers protesting only want a full repeal of all 3 farm laws.
Breaking the deadlock is going to be crucial as everybody has chosen to stick with their position on paper and practice. Everybody seems to be perfecting their points without going in the merits of the case so it would be better if the government through an executive order scraps this law altogether.
Presenting the same in the Parliament may invite the wrath of the opposition as for the ordinance strategy and skill of the party in power to bulldoze the ethics and morality of the democratically defined constitutional institutions and estate, Bound by the obedience for an Orwellian state.
