Can Love Survive In A Pandemic?

There was a blockbuster film, ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’, in which parents of the love partners compel them to stay away for a year, to prove their love for each other. They agreed and then at the end it ends in a tragedy.

Pandemic year compelled the love pairs to stay away and examine reality. Some may be successful; some may fail. Those who have phone/mobile facility might be survived.

What about others? It was an acid test of honesty, love and purity. Love is not only a physical attraction. It’s a great bonding between a male and a female. Physical relation is like is a mean. But actually, compromisation and adjustment with the situation is the basic issue. If they succeeded on this point, then only their love survived.

I remember several legendary love stories like Ram-Seeta, Laxman-Urmila, Nal-Damyanti etc. But that time was different. There were no advanced means of communication. That time was different. The cultural, social and family restrictions were strong.

But in actual practice, physical love has great importance in human life because it is the basic need of an individual. Physical love is more successful than lunatic love. It results in reproduction. Whenever an individual is not satisfied with their partner, he/she tries to search for another source.

Still, the basic concept of love did not change, I think. Those who passed this acidemic love test. Their love stories must always be happy and prosperous.
