Are You Supporting Or Rejecting The Farm Laws Without Checking The Facts?

Do we really respect and care about farmers? Most of us would say ‘yes’, but how many of us want to be a farmer? Certainly, the number would be mere, because we have been seeing farmers struggling for their livelihood. Even we can’t imagine a farmer would ever be able to give a good life to their family. Although, we are so proud of our farmer, don’t you think it is only so-called respect for them?

On one hand, we leave no stone unturned to express our gratitude towards them, and on the other, we see them homeless in rags and dejected, who are losing their everything to just earn a wage that is less than an illiterate person’s daily wage without any investment that a farmer has to put.

Have we ever thought why a farmer has to struggle so much? And can’t we even imagine our life without their existence? Apparently not. No matter how luxurious a life we live, in order to remain alive, we have to consume food. Food can’t be manufactured in any factory. Food is a natural resource that is only given to us by nature. Here, farmers come, who work with nature and nourish it in order to produce food in form of crops.

Without farmers, humans won’t be able to last for long. Despite knowing the importance of farmers, we are ignoring them. We don’t care about them for once. It is not our fault this is what we have prospected for them. This is how we are raised. This could be a strong reason why no one wants to be a farmer.

I don’t know much about cultivation, but one thing I came to know is that farmers of India are not in the state they should be at. They need support, acknowledgment and appreciation from us. Instead of helping them, we are making their life more difficult by imposing the three laws on them without even knowing about them.

I am blaming the government for the situation they are in. They have been exploited for long, but these three laws will deteriorate the condition of farmers. They have been protesting against these laws for the last eight months, leaving their farms behind.

Before opposing or supporting these laws, we should first check the facts and dive deep into them. I don’t think we would even ponder over them because we have faith in the mainstream media, whatever they show will be hundred percent legitimate. And somehow, others are also being dominated. They can’t even telecast any news without getting approved by the management, and the management works as a business firm. There are some organisations that can do anything to be in power without thinking about the effect that may worsen others’ life. They are hijacking our thoughts.

I hope this article helps to raise our voice to think about the farmers’ protest and why they are protesting if the laws are made for exaggeration.
