Heartbreak & anger as China Discourages travel for Lunar New Year

Why we, the humans, have no control over (or not in synch with) our governments, its plans, our own safety & welfare through ‘our’ governments? Why is there a “Chinese Wall” between us & our governments, globally? With this question, you may guess, I have no interest in telling you about the Chinese Festival, whether people are angry or not, whether the Chinese Government is taking unpopular or even undemocratic actions.

Entirely on a different footing, let us see another example in India. If a new construction takes into account the environmental safety, people’s need & their opinions, and scientific considerations, there will be no hue and cry. See, what happened in Uttarakhand (In UP, India), where glacier meltdown swept dams and other constructions (were all the above considerations taken into account?), killing more than 170 workers and others.

By the way, the first question must be asked: Are our governments ours? Yes, we elect them to take care of our political, economic, social matters, better our lives, keep the law and order of our respective countries intact as guided by our respective constitutions.

These elections are through out the world, in almost all the countries, unless they are bypassed due some special reasons, like military rule (Now in Myanmar), monarchy (Saudi Arabia, great pal of the USA), religious/national ‘compulsions’, and others.

The process of election is always in dispute and is claimed by the opposition that they were neither fair nor free. We know, through our experiences and reports that there is an element of facts in such allegations. From use of huge money (including unaccounted one), intimidation of the voters, forgery in voters lists as well as in symbols used by the pseudo, bogey and fake candidates, changes in EVM boxes, outright dishonesty and forgery by the ECs do take place.

This election malpractices are universal, from the USA to India, from ex-USSR nations to Latin American nations, from African countries to Myanmar. Besides these malpractices, we have outright blackmailing and intimidating, buying the lawmakers (So open in India), defections of lawmakers after election to other parties for money and posts, which make elections (mother of democracy) absurd and meaningless, as far as the voters and so called democracy are concerned.

In nutshell, the process of election is only a facemask of the present democracy. Even if the above malpractices are zero, and the voters are not poisoned by the online and on ground hatemongering and fake propaganda, in name of nationalism, religions, racism, etc., the political parties and their ‘elected’ lawmakers are united on a single ideology, which is capitalism. They are not for the people but for the capitalist class.

So, the people and ‘their’ governments are not meant for each other. The people are cheated again and again, their economic, social and political hardship is rising, state repression is rising against their resistance, and so the wealth accumulation of very few capitalists. And this is an absolute truth or fact in any capitalist country.

This contradiction is permanent in capitalism, and is increasing every day. The solution of the masses lies in revolutionary change in the present system, capitalism, which must be superseded by socialism!
