How The Pandemic Has Changed Consumer Behaviour

The global pandemic has seen a vast transformation in the minds of the consumers. It has drastically changed the way an individual used to sift through the internet for products that are non-tangible.

Take, for example, banking products that are available in India. We as bank consumers would ideally love to visit the bank and discuss our needs with the Bank Manager. That’s what my parents have been doing for ages. I have seen them visiting the same bank and the same branch for the last 20-25 odd years.

Since the pandemic, people prefer getting banking services online, instead of visiting the bank for financial assistance.

Today, that has taken a 360-degree turn. Consumers now have choice and can compare the benefits of finance schemes online. This pandemic seems to have made a slight impact on the behaviour. Artificial Intelligence has been playing with your mind — cyber frauds and online scams are very common today.

I have come across many who have fallen prey to some online fraud call. Hence, even genuine calls get rejected nowadays. It’s hard to believe anyone talking over the phone, correct?

That’s what everyone feels today, but would you still visit the bank for your work? Or will you trust a call from the bank representative?
