Ravi Chandran Ashwin & Axar Patel Helped India Crush England Within Two Days!

Team India Cricket

Well, Thursday was a very good day for team India, & so we Indians. India badly defeated England by 10 wickets at the newly named Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad. After this win, India got a lead of two to one, in the test series of four Matches. From the start, the pitch was favouring the spinners, and therefore it was getting difficult for the batsmen of both the countries to stick to the ground & therefore we witnessed a test match, wrapped up within two days.

The Modest Target Of Just 49 Runs

Team India was chasing a small target of 49 runs, and India finished it in the eighth over when Rohit Sharma scored 2 fours and a six while Joe Root was bowling. Rohit Sharma remained not out on 25 runs and had also scored a half-century in the first inning, while Shubhman scored 15 runs.

The Magic Of Axar Patel

Of course, kudos to Axar Patel for picking up 5 wickets, and bowling out the English team in just eighty-one. But as they say, that Cricket is a game full of uncertainties, the pitch favoured the bowlers of England’s team as well, and they stopped India at just 145. It is because of Axar Patel that the visitor team was reduced to zero for 2 because he bowled Zack Crawley & Jonny Bairstow out,  in his very first over. After the initial losses, England was unable to recover, and  25 runs were the highest, scored by Ben Stokes followed by Joe Root & Ollie Pope. They scored 17 and 12 respectively.

While Axar Patel gave 38 runs and took 6 wickets, while R Ashwin took 4 wickets, giving 48 runs. These boys bowled very well, leading to a very easy victory. And so social media is flooded by netizens in the praise of these boys. Suresh Raina, Ian Bell, Kevin Pietersen, Virendra Sehwag, Wasim Jaffer and others have congratulated team India & have praised them for their wonderful play.

The Joe Root Destruction Of Team India

Joe Root astounded the host team India, by stopping them at only  145 runs, with the help of Jack Leach. The latter gave England their first breakthrough of the other day, by bowling first Ajinkya Rahane and then Rohit Sharma out & reducing India 115 runs for 5 wickets, from 114 runs for 3 wickets. After that, Joe Root got into form & bowled Rishabh pant out, followed by W.Sundar and A. Patel, the latter two without even scoring a run. However, the efforts of Joe Root were destroyed by the combined efforts of team India, who are now leading the series with  2-1.
