The story of Monsor Ali as a social activist

M Monsor Ali stood by the side of the helpless people of the society who will suffer because of lack of money, someone’s treatment is stopped, someone needs a wheelchair, someone’s education is stopped financially. In the last year and a half, hundreds of helpless and poor people have received help through his Facebook post.

Monsor Ali said that one day I was walking on the road to the local market. I saw a 12-13 year old boy jumping and begging with both hands and two legs. The boy was injured in the knee due to walking on his hands and feet. I decided that day, why not let everyone know about it on Facebook. Gathering the information of the disabled child, I made a post on Facebook for the people with heart to come forward. Sarail Upazila Nirbahi Officer Umme Israt responded within 10 minutes. She gave a wheelchair to the disabled Hossain within two days of her maternity leave. This is how my humanitarian service started through Facebook.
Using Facebook, helpless freedom fighters, widows, poor students, orphans, wheelchairs, sewing machines, hearing aids, cash, surgery and regular medicines are being bought for half a hundred poor patients.

Sagar believes that he covers the cost of education by selling the cover. Every day after the school holidays, she sells her mother’s hand-fried wrappers in polythene bags for five rupees. The profit is 50-60 rupees per day. He gives half of this money to his mother to run the association’s installment and with the rest he runs his school expenses. Sagar’s father fled the family 15 years ago. Mansur Ali stood by the sea. Sagar’s story was posted on Facebook wall. A few rich people of the society came forward. They took the responsibility of studying Sagar Biswas. Sagar Biswas no longer sells mudri. Now he goes to school regularly and studies.

How it works through Facebook – he said, there are a lot of good people in the society who want to help people, but people don’t want to help because they don’t have confidence.

M Monsor Ali, a freelance journalist by profession, is also involved in medical services. He was born in Barichara village of Sarail police station in Brahmanbaria district. His addiction to standing next to helpless people. He himself collected the information of these people and applied for help on Facebook. Many people from home and abroad responded to his call and sent money. Mansoor Ali thinks that this money is being spent properly so maybe he can continue this work.
