“Opportunistic” Mithun Chakraborty Wears The BJP’s Saffron Hue

Mithun joins BJP

Mithun Chakraborty retreats and joins the actual saffron mat with a renewed sense of certainty. His key statement was that it was his grave mistake to hang around the TMC exhibits his opportunistic mood. From the year 2014 to 2016, he could not realise his fault. It came to his mind only in the year 2021.

Mithun was offered a seat to fight assembly election by Mamta Banerjee in Kolkata’s Kevratala Samshan Ghat, but he readies himself now to send TMC there. This is the irony of time. Does politics pull permanent pals?

Mithun joins the BJP after being part of the TMC between 2014 and 2016.

The actor, who influenced Bollywood with his acting calibre, will now be preparing himself to enjoy political stature. But his story will largely play out through image approval. It is not an embarrassment for the actor to come to the BJP fold. The ever-expanding party and its apostles are looking for more by renouncing the TMC.

The 70-year-old Bengal icon recognises himself as a harmful cobra than a water snake. He was tilted towards Communist views during his student days, later joined TMC and now bows to the saffron ideology. His political quest is unending. He appears to be following an opportunistic stance for serving the poor.

He foresees the party’s win in the state assembly elections. He stated that the BJP was the only party helping the poor and if he wanted to fulfil his unfulfilled dream, he must hold someone’s hand. “You can call me selfish or anything else. But the reason behind my selfishness is that I want to be with poor people, I want to fight for them,” he insisted.
