Towards An Electric Future: Bihar CM Launches 12 Electric Buses For The Common Commuter

Thinking has been changing as the shift to electric vehicles is turning out to be a big option for state governments, too. As we’ve come to know, the Bihar government has recently bought 12 electric buses for its roadways. Who will not switch over to another option after the recent massive hike in petrol prices? Many are shifting to the use of environment-friendly electric vehicles.

Keeping in mind this safer point, Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the plying of the electric bus service in his state. He, along with other ministers, reached the assembly by the newly procured electric bus. But misfortune stood in his adventure soon. Returning from the legislative assembly building, the bus suddenly hit the wall of the assembly. Not only did the bus get scratched and dented, the wall also got damaged. It remained bad luck for the freshly started bus service.

As many as 25 electric buses are to be included in the bus plying fleet. So far, 12 buses have reportedly been procured for running on the roads in Bihar. The rest would be availed later this month, news reports says. Bihar has proudly become the third state where electric buses are being openly operated on its roads.

The brand new buses, which are one of the state government’s most-streamed series right now, follow the spirit of providing better service to the poor, common people. In one sense, the plying of service will bring people closer to easily avail the benefits of commuting. At least the state government cares for faster and swifter service. If commuters were in need of some persuasion to go out on their daily work, let these eco-friendly buses do their finer service. While boarding the electrically driven fit buses, passengers may appear to think of them as a grand gift for the upcoming colourful Holi.
