Trigger warning: Mention of suicide
Everybody expects something from everyone else. A needy expects to be helped by someone. A hungry expects to be fed by someone. But do these expectations always get fulfilled? No, right? But do we stop expecting things from others? It’s true that whenever we help someone, we wish to get paid as well.
And if in a certain situation, you expect anything from your loved ones and if they don’t fulfil your expectations due to any reason, then the bond of trust starts fading away. So, don’t expect from someone what is out of their reach.
For example, many a times, a family expects their ordinary child to compete with other excellent children and win. Families expect more than what the efficiency of the child is. This will completely ruin the life of that child. Thousands of students every year die by suicide because they don’t find themselves capable of fulfilling their parents’ expectations. Now, you can understand the negative vibes of expectations.
