Why Has TMC Reduced The Number Of Muslim Candidates For The 2021 Election?

Mamata Banerjee

The TMC and BJP seem to go to every ridiculous length to woo their potential supporters. Generous looks the politicians for they beseech favour in a kind way, but it is not taken in the same manner after the polls. Overenthusiastic and ambitious politicians are openly posing in front of their ardent backers in the battle of votes.

Among various state elections this time, West Bengal sees the most hotly contested elections that will conclude in a total of eight different phases. If the TMC has still centred its attention on wooing Muslim voters, other political parties are not lagging in their attempts to garner their support.

But what remains surprising on this occasion is that the ruling TMC has reduced the number of Muslim contestants in 2021. Why so? It is too difficult to fathom. 42 Muslim candidates are trying their political luck in the latest edition of the assembly polls.

If we hasten to compare the number to the past election, it stands 15 less than the candidates who had fought polls during 2016. Is it because of the entry of two strong political leaders like Abbas Siddiqui and Asaduddin Owaisi in the state electoral fight? Whatever it may be, Mamta Banerjee has sounded her poll bugle.

Claiming her political fight for Bengali pride, she moves on in rigorous campaigning.

She has already made a return on the pitch of electoral earth. More specifically, she heads forward to win the state polls once again. It would be apt to mention here that she won a sweeping majority in 2011 and later in 2016.

Claiming her political fight for Bengali pride, she moves on in rigorous campaigning. It is quite hard to say whether she fights with political rivals or her party’s dissenters. Being in the role of the country’s only woman CM, she campaigns and attracts crowds, as depicted in the pictures shared on social media. The photos in character are arranged with the purpose of her onscreen publicity, say her detractors.

Concisely, she appears as a wounded tigress after her leg injury outside a temple in the Reyapara area in Nandigram. Her simple message is Khela Hobe. Beneath, everything is coming out slowly amid the galloping speed of campaigning by all the political parties trying their luck in the fray.
