“They Say ‘We Complete Them,’ But Who Will Complete Us?”

Why is it so hard to be a woman? Why is it so hard to present our thoughts out in the open where everyone can see?

They say we are devis but we aren’t. They say we give lives but they still end ours. They say we are the epitome of positivity, culture, ethics and everything but they still abuse us. They say ‘ladies first’ but we are always beside the man. They say we complete them but who will complete us?

I’m flesh and blood just like every single human but still, they examine me through my clothes. They think my private parts so beautiful that drooling is necessary. I’m a sister, daughter, wife and also a friend or for someone, I’m a special one. I’m dark, fat, full of scars but I’m not ugly. I admire someone’s beauty but still, I’m loyal. I’m bold, courageous, fighter but that doesn’t mean I’m shameless.

I’m a queen with an invisible crown and I still don’t want a King, I can rule my life. I am a part of Draupadi, Sita and Laxmi bai and I have all the strength. Every day I learn to speak for myself, and scream out to the world I’m “She” and because of me, every single one of you is breathing.
