The Selfless Need For Bringing Sanity In Society

volunteer social worker

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched; they must be felt with the heart.” You all must be aware that this very quote was said by Hellen Keller, the one who could not see with those eyes of hers. She learnt the true meaning and beauty of life not by touching it but by feeling it from her heart. This is how life should be lived, according to me.

Most of you must have a zillion philosophies of life but never implement them in reality. The majority of the time, we are just invested in either making money or weeping. It’s a chaotic and hectic world.

Help someone in need, you will feel elated. Make a difference in the world, live to impact and inspire others.

Do you ever notice anybody helping others as you walk or travel to work, school or college? Maybe one or two or some? Perhaps, rarely. But imagine if we start treating each other with love and respect as though we all are a family. How beautiful the sight would be.

I understand and am well aware that everyone (including me) is working to fulfil their goal to make the best of their lives. But don’t become selfish in the process and forget about the other individual.

There is a whole world out there to explore, go live it. Help someone in need, you will feel elated. Make a difference in the world, live to impact and inspire others.

Have you noted we are becoming more and more like those in America? They all live in an individualistic society where you may observe 16-year old’s living alone or with their significant others. One is left to their own devices; nobody helps each other.

Nonetheless, I do not deny that people are surely friendly out there, but very few would actually help strangers. We may fantasise about their world all we want, but you do not realise the major flaw abroad.

Let’s be proud of our country where many donation drives take place, families (inclusive of joint families) live together, neighbours help each other, people work for the underprivileged, etc. What more would you want from life? Think again, would money or bringing smiles to others and brightening their day make you happy?

To conclude, choose your take. Would you rather live in that selfish, isolated world out there or be united and one with everyone where there will be people to help you whenever you need help?

Life is beautiful and short. Let’s not spend it on just fulfilling our own needs. Sure, help yourself first, but do be considerate about others too. Let’s make it a better place for an even better tomorrow.
