If We Are Not Careful, The Pandemic Will Return With Greater Vigour

New Covid-19 strains have been exposed also in India. The UK strain this time is highly transmissible. So there should be better precautions cultivated by the Government of our country to curb these new Covid-19 strains. Unless India will be held very easily by the monstrous clutch of this new strain.

Now, in India, the cases have gone up in the last two weeks. 55 Covid-19 cases are currently administered by the doctors in the hospitals. Unlike the Covid-19 virus, this new variant spreads faster than ever. The recovery rate, the mutation of these virulent viruses are completely unknown to us. Moreover, people are becoming extremely casual regarding Covid-19 guidelines. That is why the situation is getting more alarming.

Actually, in December 2020, the news media reported a new variant of the Coronavirus. Also after that discovery, other variants are detected and under investigation. In addition to that, multiple variants of the Sars-Cov-2 Coronavirus are completely different from the first version of Covid-19 diagnosed in China. In September 2020, one mutated version of Coronavirus was detected in England. That is known as B.1.1.7. Now quickly this virus is ruling over the planet.

About 60% of the new Covid-19 are the resultant of this new virus. In South Africa, the variant called B. 1.351 is garnering more attention from the researchers. The new variants with their unique mutability, affect treatment and prevention. Already the fresh variants of the second strains have reached UK, South Africa and Brazil.

The variants like N440k, E484Q and SARS-COV-2 have been detected in Maharashtra, Kerala, Telangana. Let’s discuss the symptoms of the new strains.

These new Covid-19 strains have detected some different symptoms like conjunctivitis, diarrhoea, discolouration of fingers or toes, aches, pains, sore throats, skin rashes, headache apart from fever, chest pain, cough and aches and chills. Apart from these facts, the new variant of South Africa – B.1.351 is experiencing less severe illness than the earlier version. Those who had the antibodies against the first version were most likely to have unaffected by the second strains.

The new variants of the UK named B.1.1.7 also seem to be more contagious. But we should not overreact. Preventive measures and extremely vigilant steps should be taken to curb this contamination. The more people show a casual response, the more chances of mutations to prevail in our life. So maintaining safeguards like physical distancing, mask practising, ventilated windows, avoiding air conditioning system in transportation, a limited gathering of people will be a gateway to heal and restore peace among others.
