Opinion: “The Government Should Set Up Helplines To Bust The Myths Around The Vaccines”

Maybe, someone in their capacity should address the queries of those seeking vaccination against Covid-19 from next month. I understand the haste with which people are registering themselves on the Cowin App to receive their first jibe, but then it is easier said than done.

Representative Image.

Our apprehensions and anxieties, asking us to be dismissive of the inoculation shielding us from an invisible mutating virus, are distinguishingly replicating itself in various sizes and forms. Threatening the existence of the human race and population all across, people are grappling and gasping for resources, ensuring their upkeep, wellbeing and wellness.

Vaccinations are fine but not the final solution as for the arguments of its effectiveness in checking and curbing the spread of the virus. Many are still getting re-infected with complications ranging from seizures to dizziness, different from the symptoms of an individual infected with the virus.

Issuing a centralised helpline number would do in attending and busting the myths associated with the vaccination as for the belief of the common and ordinary in the system. A system ceases to exist if the population becomes disdainful and contemptuous.

I am afraid the system is continuously bellying our hopes and aspirations, systematically abusing and violating our pride and dignity. Yes, officially, on paper, we are a welfare state, but in practice, we are a bubble that can burst anytime.
