How Many Youth Will Have To Lose Their Jobs In COVID-19 Second Wave?

According to our Honourable Prime Minister, no youth was going to lose their jobs during lock-down, but we all know the reality.

Hon’ble PM sir, you urged the private companies or the corporate sector not to fire(dismiss) employees during the great lockdown (2020) but, do you know sir, that even your government has not kept your word?

I was working in a government office in Assam as a contractual employee. My designation was “Accounts Assistant”. I joined on September 1, 2016, and since then, every year my contract period was being extended another year for the last 4 years. On September 5, 2020, my fourth year’s contract was completed and it has been 8 months now since I received an extension letter for my job.

When I inquired about the same, the higher authority attributed it to lack of funds which seems like is a big joke. Of course, the government is so poor to even feed its own people. Our 20,000 salary per month will now save the government from the financial crisis.

After giving 4 years of my life to the government, I have nothing left right now. Moreover, I was working at a fixed pay of Rs. 20,000 per month from 2016 to 2020, with no increment of even a single rupee in my salary. Even, a job in a private company would’ve given me an increment in my salary.

Hon’ble PM sir, is this was your assurance to the youth of your nation?

The government says it’s working hard to eradicate the problem of unemployment, but it doesn’t seem to be keeping its words.

Hon’ble PM sir, at last I would like to add something -“Simple rejection is better than a fake promise.”
