Usually, during quarantines, teachers ask some topics for independent development, and when students return to school, they organize control tests, checking how they mastered the material. As a rule, the suspension of classes does not significantly affect the educational process, but this time parents are alarmed and are looking for ways to organize distance learning for their children. The current quarantine falls on a key period of the school year, especially for high school students who are preparing for an external independent assessment (OIE).
Therefore, the Ministry issued recommendations on the operating hours of schools during the quarantine. Among them is the introduction of distance technologies, with the help of which classes can be conducted
. According to the Ministry of Education and Science, at present, distance education services are provided by about 2,000 schools from 15,200 educational institutions.
As Lubomira Mandziy notes, educational institutions independently decide how to interact with students during quarantine. For its part, the ministry has published a list of online courses that can help with homeschooling. The authorities also recommend hire essay writer or tutor because the learning curve is much weaker during distance learning. Also, officials are engaged in a strategic update of the normative documents on distance education.
There is no uniform approach to distance learning in the world. In half of the EU countries, it is prohibited, including Germany and Sweden. In the United States, 2.5 million children are homeschooled – about 4% of all schoolchildren. In the UK, due to the poor quality of school education, over the past four years, the number of such children has increased by more than 40%, to 60 thousand. In Ukraine, there is no complete statistics on children studying remotely, but their number is growing – at least at the expense of schoolchildren living in the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. According to local education departments, their number has increased by a third in recent years.
In quarantine, it is important for parents and children to build the right educational relationship and spend this time as painlessly as possible.
