Self-Love 101: Making Self-Love A Part Of Life

We’ve all seen posts on social media talking about the importance of practising self-love. But in order to practise self-love, it’s important to know what it is.

Did you know we all have unique ways in which we receive and express love? These are called love languages. The concept was put forward by author and marriage counsellor Dr Gary Chapman, who proposed five love languages — words of affirmation, receiving gifts, quality time, physical touch and acts of service.

Sometimes, making yourself happier is as simple as sipping your favourite beverage, wearing comfy PJs, or listening to music. Practising self-love means making time in your day to incorporate the things, activities and people that add joy to your life.
