A letter from Palestine to kashmir.

In the middle of a sunny day in 2018, along the border of Palestine, it is hard to see or breath in the surroundings. Everything is mixed up with tear gas and toxic fumes. Israel’s forceful occupation spills the blood of innocents and their military targets unarmed youth without pity. The colour of the land has turned red. The white coats of all paramedics turned red as they were busy treating the injured strugglers. The atmosphere compelled him to write a letter to his friend. His head was heavy with the question, “Does this land want my blood to free us from occupation?” I guess we need the lion of the Muslims, Saladin Ayyub.

19, Gaza, West Bank Palestine, June 5, 2018.

Dear Reenu,
After a long time, I am writing a letter to you as only you know our suffering. You know that we are here in a pool of blood, just like you are. The plan we had seems to be impossible to realise. It seems impossible for us to meet in this world – lynchers are all around us, their occupation is so terrific!

We both have had same divine dreams of freedom, one for today and one saved for tomorrow. Soon, we will meet in another world, and all of us will celebrate your freedom and our freedom.

Kind regards,
Adam.

When he comes back from the hospital, it is chaos; everyone is running helter-skelter. We hear shots being fired outside. Two persons run towards a medical camp with a body of a 13-year-old in their arms, drenched in blood. He had lost the battle of life. We are going to check on some of the other injured people. All of a sudden, someone yelled that the vultures had shot Adam on his back while he was offering taraweeh at Masjid Aqsa.
