Quick Byte: Unemployment Is Caused By A Declining Economy, But It Can Be Addressed

Unemployment

In many countries today, there are many highly qualified graduates who are unemployed. This is a disconcerting situation, not only for the people themselves, but also for the economy as a whole. Unemployment is rapidly rising, eventually giving rise to a regressive society. In my opinion, factors leading to unemployment are twofold: lack of opportunities due to declining economy, and unsatisfactory and subpar job positions. I will expands upon the reasons in following paragraphs.

In many countries, graduates remain unemployed due to lack of opportunities created by the industries and firms. There is a cause-and-effect relationship between the economy and employment opportunities. A declining economy fails to provide employment opportunities as its resources, growth prospects, and overall development is in allay. The second reason behind unemployment is the kind of job positions offered. A highly qualified person will always be keen to take up a job position that they deserve. They will want to utilize their full potential and seek the desired remuneration.

In order to address and alleviate the problem of unemployment, the government should adopt a job generation scheme. It must analyze the unrealized job seekers of the country with adequate plans. The government should work in a forward looking manner and underscore projects and companies offering values to its citizens. Human objectives should be given attention. Another way to resolve this situation is by revamping the education structure and emphasizing on part time jobs for students, which would in turn increase their revenue streams and build their experience.
