More or less, the medical capacities were not able to help cure COVID patients widely in the wake of the second wave of the deadly virus. There were wide reports of acute shortages of oxygen, vaccine vials, and beds in both the government as well as private hospitals.

However, the tough action taken against people not obeying the strict COVID-19 regulations, random testing, and effective control of intermittent lockdowns and curfews had led to a marked decrease in daily soaring cases. This has even been accepted at the executive level. The problematic chain of virus infection could be regulated with lockdown-like restrictions. Was this not noticed in Mumbai?

A lot of people are battling with severe anxiety as to whether they would survive this grim pandemic. The fear of losing life has intensified but there looms hope around the government-driven plans. Every morning when we wake up from sleep, we thank the supreme being for immunity. But with everything that had occurred over the length of the preceding year, somehow it did look all that much unusual.

The toxic wave of the pandemic has been stressful for numerous reasons. However, among the variety of worries about illness, untimely demise, and fiscal tensions, another issue of developing a robust immune system also haunts people’s minds, time and again.

For us, obsessive imposition of periodical lockdown is supposed to help us adjust to a sickly existence. Amidst the strange dread of the virus, we had to think of the stark reality of being isolated from the buzzing world. We have honestly been distracted by the listless unrealistic crisis.
