Why Are Humans So Obsessed With Schedules, Routines And Traditions?

We humans really like those persons who are well scheduled in their life. Teachers like those students who complete all their work on time without delay. These children adhere to the rules and regulations made by their teachers and are deaf to their inner instinct, which tells them to do vice-versa. They really are very good at resisting, which makes them habituated to sacrificing things. But sometimes, over sacrificing is also not fair. Sometimes our passion calls us towards them, but we are so immersed that we don’t give a fuck towards those calls. That’s where it goes wrong, to just sacrifice things.

The very same instance happens with our cultural pattern. Again we are emotionally attracted to the persons who are perfect in terms of cultural practices. They follow all of the rituals like going to respective shrines, wishing your elders, reading respective holy books etc. They seem perfect to us and they are praised everywhere, leaving all uncultured to listen to the lectures by their parents. Those who are cultured probably got a good place in society along with the respect.

We need to evolve the patterns in which we think! Representative image only.

But it’s also okay not to be cultured. We most often use the phrase “think out of the box”, then if we should really be cultured (that means we should be bound to the old scriptures), I don’t think we ought to be thinking out of the box. Having a different perspective doesn’t leave us uncultured. The process of development needs evolution in the patterns we are following. And evolutions occur when anyone gets off the track.

Some say nature can be the best example to teach the advantage of following a certain pattern. But they are unaware of the evolutions which occur to give birth to new species. Yes, nature can be the best example, but we need to see it through our own pair of eyes and our own built context.

Now, I am not really trying to disobey the rules of patterns. Our education system is based on some framework that needs to be followed, we follow a certain code of conduct to keep breathing our democracy, we follow rules to prepare food, we follow rules to solve mathematical problems. So following a certain rule is not the problem, but taking it as the only pattern to live with, is the problem. We must follow the rules and regulations, but as any app needs time to time update, we also need to update our living patterns. It should be done in every path of life; either it is a cultural pattern, administrative pattern, educational pattern etc.

The pattern is ubiquitous, we need to live with it. But we just need to shift to an evolutionary pattern.
