Representational image.

There is a sharp contrast between actuality and the showy behavior of human beings. A person appears to be happy, but in reality they may be anxious and depressed. There are innumerable thoughts and feelings attached to a person which are concealed within them.

The conditions of modern day society wherein a person is bound by filters- on one hand, they have to deal with the ostentatious standards of society, and on the other hand they may be a victim of depression and anxiety. Society has been shaped in a way where a person is compelled to present their best self: always be happy and perfect, otherwise one will suffer criticism.

In this rat race, human beings forget about their own mental peace and always strive to move forward, compromising their peace and calm. They have concealed their real feelings in their hearts, which are now weakening them from the inside. A person automatically become fake. They start to normalize these expectations of society. Being distressed, haughty, and petulant overshadows their natural nature.

In this manner, society would become regressive instead of progressive.  A healthy society is a happy society. Steps need to be taken immediately to reform the mercenary nature of present-day human. Awareness about mental health has to be supported and boosted. Society should encourage hospitality, where every person is capable of expressing their real thoughts and feelings. This would be a world where filters have no place, and everyone is tranquil.
