The Covid-19 pandemic is no less than humankind’s worst fear coming into existence. Meeting your loved ones can put them or ourselves at substantial risk. But the greater risk associated with the pandemic is the deteriorating mental health of our nation, especially those from the younger generation. The mental agony is extremely suffocating for most of us.
Our education system is lacking the most important aspect; students are being forced to sit in front of screens and attend classes with no human value or touch. Moreover, students appearing for board exams this year have completed their last year of schooling, but how? Through online classes that absolutely served no justice to an actual classroom environment?
Even after completing their studies sincerely, at the end of the year, our education department has announced further postponement of all board exams. This has added up to the already existing mental agony that they have been experiencing this past year.
No, I am not asking the government to cancel the board exams, rather, I am expecting them to take it as soon as possible in an extremely safe and secure manner, while also making special provision for students suffering from Covid.
