India is passing through the second wave of deadly Covid. Many people are losing their lives. During this time, people are living in their homes with social distancing and rarely meeting in person. But some people are helping Covid patients to recover and saving their lives. Today, meet Mr. Ajeet Pratap Singh and his Banar Sena (Monkey Army).
Mr. Ajeet Pratap is the Deputy Director of the Backwards Class Welfare Department of the Uttar Pradesh government. Last year he started Banar Sena with Mr. Surjeet Singh and his friends to provide help to those Covid19 patients who were in need.
Mr. Ajit Pratap told me that as the monkey fights till they can’t fight anymore, the Banar Sena volunteers also serve the people 24 hours all 7 days without taking rest; volunteers also included many Central Services and Provincial Services officers, Police Officers, Doctors, Engineers, Students, Businessmen, Management Professionals, educational institutions heads, the general public, politicians, honourable Members Of Parliament, and Members Of Legislative Assemblies.
His Vanar Sena is active in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of India including Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Hariyana, and Kerala.
He has created a Facebook page and if any Covid patient shares their Covid positive report with a mobile number, the volunteers of the related district reach the patient’s family and provide the needed help. Volunteers are expressed by the name of Banar (monkey). Many volunteers (Vanars) have donated blood plasma, blood, oxygen cylinders, & medicines.
The Volunteers also search for the vacant beds in the Covid19 hospitals and helps the needed families to provide beds in the hospitals. Many persons are financially helping the Banar Sena.
Humanity is clearly visible in Banar Sena. Really, a great humanitarian job is going on by Mr Ajit Pratap and his Banar Sena. He and his Banars are helping India to defeat Coronavirus and Covid19. Members of Vanar Sena are great Corona Warriors.
