Covid-19 or coronavirus is an infectious disease caused by a virus. This disease spreads throughout the body and can cause respiratory problems, high fever, and in severe cases, can cause difficulty in breathing. The disease can be prevented by maintaining regular hygiene and keeping distance from those affected people.

What Are The Symptoms?

The first symptoms are usually dry cough and high fever in the host body. In severe cases, the patient has trouble in breathing. It sounds like a normal flu, but you should get a check-up done if you have these symptoms. The most important thing is that you will have both dry cough and fever. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), it can take up to 14 days between the time the virus enters the body and shows symptoms. However, some researchers believe that this time can also be up to 24 days.

The coronavirus spreads more in the host body of people once the first symptom appears. But many experts believe that this virus can spread even before making a person sick. The damage that the coronavirus can cause to one’s immunity system can also prove to be fatal.

How Can We Avoid From Getting Infected?

To prevent this disease from entering one’s body, proper hygiene must be maintained all the time. Wash your hands every 1-2 hours. One should not come in contact with a person already infected with the virus. Eating outside should be avoided. We must follow physical distancing to avoid the spread of this virus.

If we have to go out, we must wear a mask, and after coming back home, we should wash our hands with soap or hand sanitiser. We can use any alcohol-based sanitiser to sanitise ourselves. We should avoid touching our face or eyes when outdoors.
