The Founder of the Kashi Virasat Foundation, Shivani Khanna has taken an initiative to promote Hindustani classical music among layman and also inspire young children to make career in this field . KVF also help the needy people be it young or older by taking them to Artists who have mastered this field and made a name, they teach free music to children.

How did Shivani thought on this and took the initiative?
On 24th October 2017, Girja Devi the famous Padma Vibhushan Awardee Classical Singer was brought to Manikarnika ghat for cremation. Shivani was there at Manikarnika ghat watching the guard of honor. She used to know but people there standing asking her who was she? At that time Shivani was fully blanked to know that many people don’t know such legends. As she was born in the city of Music Varanasi and has a deep love for Banaras Gharana Style of Music which is world-famous.
Then she planned to make awareness and this is how this foundation formed.
