Life Gets Hard But It’s All About The Choice You Make Next

Every individual must have experienced at least once in their lives feeling everything going wrong and when nothing could be done so they try to die by suicide. People begin to think that is the end of everything, but please know that challenges do come in life, but it is not the end; something good always happens after that, you will come out of it.

Here are some facts you may want to know, around 1 million people die by suicide annually. Globally, suicide is the tenth leading cause of death for all ages and the second leading cause of death among young people aged 15–29 years. The near-equal suicide rates of young men and women and consistently narrow male to female ratio denotes that more Indian women die by suicide than their Western counterparts.

We experience some low days where we feel that nothing is going in our favour or control, the current pandemic being an apt example, from dreaming about our birthday parties to graduation to planning a wedding, all these things are getting cancelled in a millisecond.

We feel shocked, surprised and horrified. All those fun things that we planned are not going to be implemented in reality. Due to this, a mental health experience is a setback.

Here’s the catch, there will be such moments that will not happen, COVID or not. Life will pose such challenges and it will be difficult for especially those who are control freaks (me being one of them). The tip is to just let go. It’s alright, and you can still implement those plans eventually because you know that things do always get better, but you just need some level of patience.

If you have ever had such thoughts or tried to kill yourself, there’s nothing to feel guilty about it. If you talk about it, it shows that you are a brave person.

When life gets hard, don’t depend on your emotions or thoughts. Hang on to give yourself some time. It’ll slowly get better for you. All you have to do is to stay calm when you experience these negative thoughts. Reach out to people you think will understand you and just have that sense of hope and optimism to make you feel better.

Last but not least, you are not alone in this; we’re all in this together, it’s alright to feel like this.
