Why are you so dark? Why are you so overweight? You are not beautiful. You cannot even live like this. We the outer world only care about your outer beauty. The only thing matter is how attractive your looks are. The only thing that is more sustainable in society is beauty“.

Body-shaming is still prevalent in society.

The above paragraph shows the sadly authentic views of people. In a world where society teaches us that every human being is equal and competent based on skill and each individual is unique. To live in this world you have to be “skilled” instead of being “attractive and gorgeous“. We learned that racist thoughts are bad and body shaming is bad too. Come to the ground and face the real issues related to beauty-based discrimination.

In the real world, you are being judged from all sides as you are doing your work with full efficiency. But the saddest part is they don’t care about your hard work and your restless efforts. The thing is that you are not perfect in looks, skin tone, and beauty. hence you feel bad, sad, and curse your own self that god – “why did you make me like this? why I am black? why I am so fat?“.

All the above sentences are genuine thoughts of people. you are made to accept that beauty is more important than a pre-requisite skill for a job. So what to do now? You want to change your skin tone and your figure for these hypocritical people? My best advice is that first- “accept yourself the way you are“.

Yes, I have a darker skin tone but I have the skill to serve my country and my people. There are a lot of celebrities, politicians, leaders, and many more personalities who society has body=shamed but still they managed to grab audience trust(support) from their work and services. Example- Vidya Balan (artist, director, and producer), Smriti Zubin Irani (politician), Rene kujur (International model), etc.

In this harsh world, you will indeed be first judged by your looks but you will gain people’s love by the service you give to their well-being.
These are the following things you need to adopt in case you face body-shaming-:

Self-acceptance– For years, I tortured myself based on society’s perspective. I have now accepted myself the way I am and my people have accepted me too. If you want social acceptance then you have to accept yourself first (your real look).

Self-development– Self-pampering sessions, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and scheduled workouts are essential as it improves immunity and reduces sleep disorders. In a nutshell, you will more likely to do daily tasks (like a superman).

Stop comparing– If your compare yourself with others, it is likely that you will copy them. Hence, self-love is crucial.

Here is a nice thought- “self -love is not selfish, you cannot love another until you love yourself“. To make the world a better place love is a powerful weapon. With love, you will prosper and foster your spiritual well-being. Spread happiness and kindness to make a better life.
