Gratitude and appreciation are the much-lacked aspects in a woman’s life, the ones who do receive them are fortunate. Social media is flooded with love and regard only when there is a day to do so. Mother’s Day, Women’s Day, Birthdays, and the days where everyone around the globe shares their gratitude to the warriors of humankind. We praise our warriors on specific occasions and take a vacation for the rest of the time. Actions always speak louder than words. India is a land where we consider little girls to be religious figures and it’s the same land where they are being mistreated, disrespected, and held captive from exploration.
You all might have seen your mother, sister, or the female of your family underrepresented on every occasion around every circumstance. She gives up the comfort of her own life, just to please and provide everything her family requires. A woman is considered to be the epitome of sacrifice, love, and care. But this woman is worthy of all these things too. And that is where the idea of women’s empowerment should always begin with. Festivals, parties, get-togethers – she is always bound to eat last, enjoy the least, and clean the most. Maybe because that is her duty, right?
NO, the woman of your family deserves the love and care she gives you. Without a day off, without a break, she aches every core of her body to fulfill the needs of her family. We believe that writing a long caption on social media about how much you love her would be enough, but it never is! It is not respect. You do it because you see everyone doing the same and, in the race, to comply with the mob mentality, we all run in the same direction.
Getting an equal paycheque like your male colleague or becoming the CEO is not the ultimate level of equality and empowerment. It is from the roots that we have to start all over again. The thought that you have to get the permission of your family to get an education is not empowerment. Respect and empowerment would start when you will know that no one will say “no” to your dreams.
Real feminism is when the woman of the society feels that she owns the house and not just serves it! The idea is to understand that every female possesses a special power and is competent enough to live her own dreams and/or take care of the house and family. To undermine the feminine strength is the first step of disrespecting the courage the woman is gifted with.
We are changing every day, some for good and others for bad. The best transformation is when your change builds up a healthy society. We have broadened our perspectives, not just as women but as being a part of society as well. Women are learning not just academically, but a lot of things that make them feel alive. They are becoming independent along with carving a way for the future generations to be self-standing not just financially but mentally too.
She is filled with power and passion, with a free spirit to do everything with devotion and dedication. The idea is to treat her likewise, because believe it or not, she deserves much more!
