Time for Travel, Iran-India flights must resume

Time for Travel, Iran-India International flights must resume. Karar Hashmi

Iran: The Indian Students studying in different parts of Iran want to come back to their country due to falling summer vacations in the Iranian Colleges, seminaries and universities. Earlier the decision was made by Iran’s Health Ministry and accordingly the civil aviation agency has banned all flights to and from India and Pakistan because of the dramatic surge in coronavirus cases. Students complained that now Iran has resumed flights with Pakistan, France and with other countries but we Indian students are suffering due to the continued long ban on international travel to India.

Talking to Kashmiri based Seminarian at Qom Agha Syed Karar Hashmi said that “Iran’s travel ban to India in the month of April was requisite and necessary step due to rising cases of coronavirus in India but at contemporary situation has been dramatically under control in India and now travel ban must go.” added that other countries have resumed international travel to India also Air India had on Wednesday said that it will resume its flight services from UAE from June 24 onwards, so accordingly Iranian Flights like MahanAir and other flights must resume their services at earliest.

Another Student of Comparative religions Qasim Moosvi said that he plans to celebrate Eid ul Azha and Muharram with family back home in their country but such continued travel ban to India is unfortunate. If the travel ban to India is due to rising coronavirus cases in India then why IranAir from Tehran to Mumbai is operating amidst this all ?

Every year, the students fly back to their homes in India with their families due to summer vacation. But, this year, a lot of students had to cancel their booking due to the coronavirus outbreak in India and other travel restrictions. Now Indian Students studying in Iran are requesting GOI, Ministry of External affairs and Indian Embassy at Tehran to make all necessary efforts and plans, so that travel ban on India must go and students be in a position to come back to their country smoothly and safely at earliest.
